There are many names for a teacher – an educators, mentors, instructors, and sometimes they act like parents. They are key personals influencing lives inside and outside classroom. Teachers are inspirations and we all have that one favorite teacher whom we look up-to and who impacted your life to a greater extent. Often it is seen that fitness trainers and coaches confuse their jobs, bottom-line is that you are an educator. You are helping people understand the importance of owns-elf, prioritize health and thereby growing their life-span. In Indian tradition “teachers” are next to god, the Guru is to be respected and honored for his noble contribution to the society & people.
Ved Vyas is regarded as the Guru of Gurus and the festival of Guru Purnima is dedicated to him. Parshurama is considered as the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu and served as a mentor to Bhishma Pitamah and Dronacharya. He taught the art of warfare to Karna the friend of Duryodhana and the eldest son of Kunti. Dronacharya is probably the most popular mythological teacher. The Indian government even confers the Dronacharya Award on outstanding coaches in sports and games. Dronacharya was the ‘guru’ of Pandavas and Kauravas.

There are many such examples of gurus wherein we see our history was impacted to a larger extent. Gurus are highest form of knowledge and learning, they are to be obeyed and worshiped.

Right teacher can teach you right guidance. Serving is purpose of life. Teachers are building blocks of the society. Its important for us being a teacher to constantly learn and upgrade ourselves with the contemporary world.
Teachers are natural leaders, they strive for an attitude of resilience. They are liberal givers, preach being patient and always aiming at success. It’s empowering to be an educator. There are challenges too as it is a self-driven profession. You need to market yourself and prove to make a difference to attract students.
Often it may happen that you may have less student or a vacant class but do you get upset? No, that’s never an option. Utilize the time in learning skills that’s needed for this job. Spend more time on marketing your skills and share your knowledge with potential learners. Communication is a key ingredient for taking a class, create an USP of teaching method so that you stand out from others being the best.
Work on your presentation & personality. Remember you are role models for your students strive to be the best & utilize your full potential and always keep learning.
