In-spite of having true dedicated intentions once we wake up on a fresh New year morning, the resolutions wear off! Merely about 46% of people actually make it a success which leads to over half of the people failing to achieve goal for the new year.

Let’s have a moment of truth “Motivation alone cannot help us win”

It needs a step by step approach and self analysis of what’s already been done. Firstly focus on what you achieved in this year. Always start your self analysis on a positive note and share gratitude & feel good about yourself because you did great this year! With the positive energy pen down the pending task from the existing year. Always remember to finish what you start. You will find your answers in below questions:

  1. What did I set out to do in the past year?
  2. Did I make a progress?
  3. Was the task completed , if not where did I leave it?

Once you have the answer, start where you left. Major times resolutions doesn’t work because of rushed approach to complete them. Let it be gradual with smaller changes and a little room of error. Set an achieve-able timeline. Make sure that it comes naturally & does not require extra added effort that may drain you out after sometime.

Broad resolutions like “being healthy” “travel more” can be difficult, be more specific with what you want. So let the list be like “quit smoking” “have proper eating schedule” “Visit the Himachal Belt & a road trip to Goa” . Specific goals help you understand your need and you can make plans accordingly.

Find a buddy – with whom you can relate & complete your resolutions. Self motivation is difficult , but when there are two people involved the push is needed to get back on track from each party.

We found that “Resolutions” can be a big success with few lifestyle changes and practicing new “habits”. You may find it a little difficult but it will only do you good. Here are 10 habits that have proven to be super useful in achieving what we really want!

1.Start your Day with gratitude: Always have an attitude of gratitude. As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. Practicing gratitude helps you to find the positives in you and the best things you have, it reflects thankfulness in the universe thereby creating a happy space for you.

“I am happy because I’m grateful. I choose to be grateful. That gratitude allows me to be happy.”

2. Physical Workout Every 6 days a week: Keeping you body hydrated and working is another key habit that one must have. Being physically active improves your mental health, finally achieve the goal of managing your ideal weight, reduce unwanted disease and strengthen your muscles. Everyday activity will be effortless with a 30mins workout. Give your body 30minutes out of the 24hours to have an improved lifestyle.

“Once you are exercising regularly, the hardest thing is to stop it.” You just need to start after 7days it will be a habit you would love.

3. Maintaining healthy diet: Its said that “you are what you eat” . If you eat good, you do not need skincare and all the extra plastic product for your glowing skin or perfect health. Choose your diet wisely as what you feed your body reflects in your health & lifestyle.

4. Positive thoughts: There are always two sides of a situation. Instead of thinking about the worst, change your habit in finding the positive side. Positive thoughts keeps the vibration around positive and it keeps you motivated to lead your life with a better perception.

5. Having faith in yourself & focusing on excellent performance: You can do better than now. Never stop excelling in a task. There is space for improvement always. With faith try to improve and outdo the tasks to its fullest.

6. Never Stop learning: You grow old if you stop learning. If you are a closed person and think you know and have learnt everything that’s a serious closure to your life. The world is changing everyday and there is always something to learn from everything around. Look around and focus on the goods and take the best out of everything you see.

7. Ask “why”: Questioning your actions can help you analyze your own life. Like “Why are you doing it?” “Why did you react so much?” etc. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The more the questions the more clarity you get in life.

8. Start Thinking “Rich” to be “Rich”: Your thoughts mend your way of life. If you want to be rich, you need to align your thoughts in the same direction. When you keep your thoughts rich and filtered from the unwanted jabbers you actually start working towards your goal.

9. Give more: There is a beauty in giving. Your “Karma” will come back as a gift or disguise in return. What you give comes back to you in this life. So always try to give more , the good things, a good behavior, a hand for help, etc. The universe will act on you the same vibrations that you give.

10. Execution: Dreaming and only dreaming alone can doom with time. But if you take action and work for it then everything is possible. Just like the word “IMPOSSIBLE” itself says “I_M_Possible” I am possible, no matter what if you really want something and execute an action plan nothing can stop you.
