Who are you?

You can be a mother, a father, a brother, a son, a daughter, a friend, a lover, a wife or a husband. Your identities depend on the responsibilities you perform around your life. Not only that but its true with your life experience you will find that there are multiple identities for a person and they can be based on the various aspects of life. Everyone has several identities through the course of life, they can be based on cultural identity, your profession gives you a separate identity where you may be a doctor, an IT professional, a creative artist or a teacher, that’s your professional identity. By ethnicity & nationality you have a unique identity, your religion identifies you diversely, also based on your gender you are recognized distinctly.

This is for all of you reading this blog – may I ask you is this really who you are?

We tag ourselves with our childhood and carry identities that we are given from when we were children. I was a slow learner & flunked in mathematics quite often. So, I was recognized amongst the dumb bunch of kids but now does that identity co-exist with me still?

A friend of mine had few extra kilos around her waist and she was a recognized – fatty. Identified as the “fat girl” in the class. People take the freedom to judge and make statements on you based on their own feelings. They less care about how it makes you feel as a person.

Broadly called as “bullying” is one form is negative identification of a person wherein it hurts a person’s feelings.

Now, keeping your ground firm is something we are looking forward to. No matter how difficult it is You know who you are and you need to manifest yourself in the same direction. The art of pouring out such feelings and emptying yourself is the task here. Cut off the negative comments and these specific identities given to you. Feel empty, feel the vacuum, feel the void – now you will have a lot of space for being alive! To be what you are. To access your highest potential its essential to give away the dumped identifications.

Referring to Bhagwat Geeta it says that expectations comes from different roles of life. You need to perform the roles but that does not define you as a person.

It’s also a saying that “If you expect nothing from somebody you are never disappointed.”

However there is always a fight between the powerful, like from the numbers 0-10 , “9” always thought to be the most powerful. There was a fight between numbers as “3” was greater than “2” and “7” was greater than “6” and it went on. But “0” had no power and was extremely saddened being the weak one. Then “0” stood beside “1” and there after “10” “100” ,  etc it became the strongest.

Your identity, on the other hand, is what you wish to become.

You are absolutely anything you want to be – smart, clever, courageous, kind, compassionate, funny, artistic, strong, wise. Your identity is what you make of your biography. I have worked on myself and emptied the identities given by people – I am what I wished to become. I am brave and compassionate person.

I may be not perfect according to many but as per me “I am super awesome and I do things my own unique way”

Thank you for hearing me out.
