“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” ~Budha

The interlinking past the living present and the imaginary future is always contradicting with each other. We understand irony of life with present when we compare with past. Where do you live the most? In your past or are you a person who believes in living this moment or is it you are always thinking about what will happen in future ?

Its predominant that people live in their past more and are always thinking about their future. I wouldn’t say that its a bad thing to do but what about present? What about today? Humans by default mechanism is difficult to tame but if you start living for today you just might create a much happier life.
Imagine no worries about tomorrow – don’t you already feel light?

Past is a beautiful place to revisit it has all your stories of struggle, good memories, break ups, patch ups, achievements , failures and so on. But how often really do you think about the good things is a question. Have you ever wondered what’s the biggest thing in life that holds us back in past and makes us worry about future?

Its the “Fear” & “Doubt”

Fear of Loss & Fear to lose : Loss is not always materialistic ,by loss we tend to refer  to losing  people majorly which scares us as we depend on our near ones. But its much more than just losing a person, there can be fear of losing passion, loss of ambition, you may fear loss of self-confidence or emotional loss when we undergo breakup in any relation.  Death is an ultimate loss we fear but the little things that matter creates a great difference.

Fear of Society: What will  people say, how will they react? These matters in our life which causes fear of society. There  are different people living with varied opinions, it’s hard to please everyone and at  the same time keep oneself happy. Fear of society drives you to do things against your will.

Fear of heartbreak: Heart & mind never works at the same page. We fear heart-breaks more than losing a job. Often it’s seen to cope up with that one person you love , you give everything, walk the impossible & stretch your boundaries. It may not keep you happy but you do it for the sake of love & fear of heartbreak.

Fear of failure: As we say success is never ending and failure is never final. However, it’s difficult to face our failure. It’s easy to point the lows of other’s life but when it comes to us we escape our faults. Fear of failure also restricts us from taking that one risk that can change our life.

Fear of change, fear to come out of your comfort zone also bounds us in closed circle.  The best way to know your fear is to

Ask yourself, “What am I scared of losing?”

Doubting own-self:  To define self-doubt it is to experience uncertain feelings about different aspects of yourself. It’s a common feeling that we all have  from  time-to-time i.e “Self-doubt”. From joining into a new job, playing a sport, performing an act or taking a test, a thin line of doubt is there and that’s perfectly normal.

Doubting others, lack of trust and having low  faith holds you back in life.

The facts that gives birth to “Fear” & “Doubt” are:

1. The way we are born & brought up. The upbringing matters a lot. Having low self-esteem  and not  appreciated at home can lead to certain behavioral and mental strains. The foundation develops our habit & personality

2. Past experiences and mistakes degrades our self-confidence. So, its better to learn from the mistakes instead of cribbing about and living in past. Utilize the experience to build a better tomorrow.

3. Competitive nature is good, it gives you the zeal to do best from better. But always comparing with other can act otherwise. It creates envy, jealousy and attracts negative vibes,  also leads to fear the peer pressure.

4. Change is the only constant so to  face new challenges we need to be ready. New  challenges causes fear , new place, new people , the fear of the unknown.
