Hello from the other side!

Are you too busy, this will just take about a minute I promise?

I am curious about my own thoughts, hence wanted to validate whether its only me or it’s with everyone.

Have you ever felt a strong negative force inside you which redirects you to do bad things when you are hurt?

It’s more like an inner-Ravana that constantly boomerang you with evil thoughts.

Once I start thinking bad, it turns into worst nightmares of my life, do you ever experience the same?

Does it mean that there is no good left in us?

It’s a universal debate about “Good” Vs “Evil”, after talking to several people what I realized is that no one individual is innately good or bad.

Humans are made with combining characters and what’s good according to you, might be an absolute disaster for me. Like you may say you drool over a cheese cake and herein I am allergic to cheese. It’s a mix of genes and psychology that we are here to discuss about – Good & Evil.

On a scale of human spectrum most of us fall somewhere between the extremist Gandhi symbolizing the “Good” and Hitler depicting the “evil”. But both the parties had their own success stories.

Empathy is an emotion that we are taught and considering conventional world scenario “putting yourself first” is also recommended. Our actions differ with the changing environment and people.

Naturally occurring evils like health issues, disaster, etc. cannot be controlled as the cause is not intentional. For moral evils like “lying”, “a murder”, “a suicide”, etc. drives through your thoughts which can be channelized and only you are responsible for the damage control.

Let me tell you, there is no one as an Eternal definition of a “Good”.

It’s one life that we are given, and not always can we be selfless. Prioritizing self is important because if you don’t then who will? At the same time being there for the needy, performing responsibilities in your family, keeping a promise that you made, sticking to your dear ones are great values of “goodness”

I can suggest you not to get drained out with your giveaways, sometimes just sit & have your cup of coffee. Too many sacrifices, compromises and adjustment can raise you as a “Great person” but it often drags in sorrow which later will consume your will power.

So, to have a closure, Good & Evil both are equal parameters that exist within us. We create our own life and possess parallel power to self-destruct.

Fear, denial, and negative emotions causes stress and fatigue whereas a positive space broadens our world and we can visualize a peaceful life.

Without the steep curves, a roller coaster is just merely a train journey. Evil thoughts help us understand the harsh realities of life and our good actions helps us become a better person.

“KARMA” speaks for itself, it’s a proven fact. Once a bunch of friends were out on a trip and they enjoyed a stay at a magnificent hotel in Purulia (a place located in West Bengal). While checking out the hotel forgot to charge Rs. 4000 from the previous day’s dinner. The bunch of friends giggled and were so happy that they had to pay Rs. 4000 less. Now, they had two options;

  1. Bring to their acknowledgement about the missing bill (Being good)
  2. Enjoy the treat and leave (Being Evil)

They chose the second option. Believe it or not, each one of them had a loss of Rs. 4000 within a span of a month. One of them lost her wallet, other ones phone was broken, someone needed medication for an accident, and so on. It was time for their “KARMA” to take returns. From that day, they never enjoyed perks of someone’s negligence and goodness prevails!

Happy Dussehra

No matter what – Good will always win over evil. Goodness prevails for lifetime and Evil is a temporary state of mind.

“Everything Happens for a Reason” and we at Masterful believe that the reason is always “good”.

Just like the cycle of dusk and dawn we all have good & bad in us – Both Ram & Ravana lives within us.

It’s the choice that we make – what do you choose to be “Ram” or “Ravana”?
